Through the joint efforts of colleagues in the field of Tibetan language studies, the inaugural Tibetan Language and Linguistics Forum (TLLF) was held at Nankai University, Tianjin, in 2016. Since then, the forum has been successfully convened for six consecutive sessions. In 2017, during the second TLLF, participating experts resolved to establish a new academic journal titled Tibetan Language and Linguistics. After several years of preparation, we are pleased to announce the launch of this journal.
We warmly invite scholars from around the world to contribute manuscripts. Tibetan Language and Linguistics publishes research on Tibetan language studies written in Tibetan, Chinese, and English, and other languages, available in both print and electronic formats. The journal welcomes academic papers on a wide range of topics, including Tibetan phonetics, phonology, orthography, lexicon, morphology, syntax, dialectology, historical linguistics, written records, and textual analysis. We also accept translations of previously published works, as well as book reviews related to Tibetan language studies.
