The Tergar Institute curates hybrid study-practice programs in Applied Buddhist Studies. Our approach emphasizes an applied, engaged, and experiential approach to learning. Our teaching methodology is integrated, allowing for direct collaboration with Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche and Tergar Osel Ling monastic faculty. Responsibilities will include: curriculum development done in collaboration with Mingyur Rinpoche and Institute faculty; guiding seminar sessions based on course material; mentoring participants in Independent Study Projects; and providing service to the community to ensure a supportive experience for everyone involved. These tasks will take roughly 10 hours per week.
A competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Additionally, successful candidates will have access to senior Khenpos for research purposes throughout their time with the Institute.
Cover letter, curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendation should be sen to info@tergarinstitute.org by September 30, 2024. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and a decision will be made accordingly.
