Appel à contributions : Place Matters: Contextualizing the Experiences and Agency of Tibetan Women and Women in Tibet

Chang Liu (EPHE-PSL) et Qiujie Chen (EPHE-PSL) annonce l’appel à contributions pour un numéro spécial à proposer à Asian Ethnology autour du thème :

Place Matters: Contextualizing the Experiences and Agency of Tibetan Women and Women in Tibet

Les thèmes suivants seront explorées dans les contributions :
Mobility and displacement: Female agency in migration, place-making, and identity construction in Tibet and beyond. 

  • The dynamic between physical and digital spaces: Women’s empowerment/disempowerment in online platforms and new digital arenas. 
  • Inclusion and exclusion: Tibetan women living in non-Tibetan societies and non-Tibetan women residing in Tibet. This includes examining their lived experiences, emotional landscapes, and negotiations of belonging.
  • Feminist interventions in Tibetan studies: Contributions by women scholars—sociologists, anthropologists, and historians—who introduce more decentralized and less gender-biased theories and methodologies into Tibetan Studies.
